Yo Han Kim (Piano)
Yo Han Kim is a dedicated piano instructor with over seven years of teaching experience and a proven record of guiding students to excellence. He earned his Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied with Dr. Timothy Ehlen and Dr. Christos Tsitsaros and was awarded the Graduate Full Tuition Award throughout his program. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Calvin College, where he studied with Dr. Hyesook Kim and received multiple music scholarships and awards, including the Gerald and Adriana Zylstra Piano Scholarship and the Johanna Kempers Wyngaarden Scholarship.
As an educator, Mr. Kim has taught hundreds of students ranging from young beginners to adult learners, both in private and group settings. He has extensive experience preparing students for the Certificate of Merit (CM), American Guild, and ABRSM examinations, with all of his students successfully passing and many earning State Honors and awards. His students have also achieved recognition in competitions such as the American Protégé Piano Competition, USOMC Open Music Competition, IAPMT Grand Concours Competition, and ASIMC Piano Competition. An active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), Mr. Kim regularly participates in professional development and student performance opportunities through the organization. He has also contributed as faculty at the University of Illinois Piano Laboratory Program and Illinois Summer Youth Music Festival, and has served as president of the Music Teachers National Association Collegiate Chapter at UIUC.
With his diverse cultural background, having grown up in South Korea and Guatemala, Mr. Kim brings a unique perspective to teaching. He emphasizes individualized instruction, combining technical foundation, musical artistry, and creativity, while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. His mission is to inspire students not only to reach their musical goals but also to develop a lifelong love and appreciation for music.

Concert Pianist and Professor Michelle Lee is the teacher of over 300 Award- winning pianists and recording artists.
She is a renowned piano teacher known for her exceptional skill in nurturing young talents. With over 35 years of experience as an educator, she is celebrated for her patient and loving teaching approach toward each student. She dedicates herself to helping each student become the best pianist they can be and achieve their full musical potential by empowering them with skills and confidence and instilling a lifelong love for the art of piano playing.
Her students have won over 1,000 awards in international and national piano competitions and received four-year scholarships to prestigious universities and conservatories.

Vivian Lee (Piano)
Born in South Korea, Vivian Lee started playing piano at age 6. She participated in various classical music performances, both as a soloist and a member of teams, including the Dazzling Piano. She received a certificate of piano forte diploma in Accademia Europea Del Canto Lirico in Italy after completing a diploma program in performance under Mr. Maurizio Baldin. While in the graduate school, she received a certificate in the National Conference of Keyboard Pedagogy 2007 in Chicago after successfully participating in the piano pedagogy program. In addition, she received a lecture diploma from USA Faber Piano Adventures (Ann Arbor, Michigan) after completing its piano pedagogy course. Ms. Lee then graduated from Sejong University (Seoul, Korea) with a master of music in piano. She has always found a lot of joy and happiness in teaching piano to other people. As she has a lot of gratitude to her own piano teachers and professors who helped her grow tremendously both as a musician and person, she is eager to return the amazing experience of joy, growth, happiness, and self-fulfilment to students.
Sarah Chavarria (Violin)
Sarah Chavarria is a dedicated Bay Area violinist and music educator holding a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from San Jose State University. With extensive experience teaching across the Bay Area, including positions at the Maud Powell String Institute, Vibo Music Studio, and the Young Musician's Choral Orchestra, she specializes in personalized violin instruction, music theory, and cultivating engaging, supportive learning environments for students of all levels.
Alongside her passion for teaching, Sarah is an active orchestral and professional musician, performing with ensembles such as the San Francisco Philharmonic and Golden State Symphony, and previously serving as Assistant Concert Master for the San Jose State University Orchestra. Dr. Saewon Oh (Violin)
Dr. Saewon Oh is a violinist and educator with extensive performance and teaching experience in both South Korea and the United States. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Violin Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received a full tuition waiver. She earned her Master of Music (M.M.) in Violin Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and pursued further studies in CM's Artist Diploma program.
Prior to her studies in the United States, she received her Bachelor of Music degree from Dongduk Women's University and graduated from Seoul Arts High School and Yewon School.
As a soloist and orchestral musician, Dr. Oh won 1st Prize at the American Protégé International Competition and 2nd Prize at the Paju National Music Competition.
Her orchestral experience includes serving as Concertmaster of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and First Violinist with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra. She has also pertormed as a guest musician with various orchestras and ensembles, including the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean Pops Orchestra, Stockton Symphony and has presented solo recitals at venues including Kumho Art Hall and Youngsan Art Hall in Seoul.
Since 2018, Dr. Oh has taught violin in the San Francisco Bay Area, working with students of various ages and levels and tailoring her instruction to each student's individual goals and needs. Her students have earned placements in regional youth orchestras including the California Youth Symphony (CYS), Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra (PACO), San Jose Youth Symphony (SJYS), KAMSA Youth Orchestra, and Hopebox Orchestra.
They have served as concertmasters of school orchestras and as Principal Second Violin of Suys, won the Suys Concerto Competition and performed as featured soloists, and earned top prizes at competitions including the BAMA Open Music Competition.
